Bobby Greyfriars

One of the first things Matt pointed out to us as we drove through Edinburgh was a statue of a small dog outside of Bobby Greyfriars Bar. When the owner of this bar died, his loyal dog stayed by his gravesite for 14 months, only to leaving at the 1 o'clock gun from the Edinburgh Castle. At this gun, the pup would go for lunch at the bar. When the dog passed away, he was given his own headstone right in back of the Bobby Greyfriars Bar and is remembered as the most loyal dog in Scotland! Isn't that a great story!?
